The season started slowly due to enormous rain falls during the month of October, however it settled down from November then over the Summer months.

I express my appreciation and gratitude to the fellow Committee members firstly for their loyalty to the association and the amount of time they have devoted to each of the portfolios of extreme responsibility.

Our Umpires association has again supplied two umpires to every game when and where possible. Some assistance has been supplied by our players roster when needed. Hugh thanks to the Professional Committee led by Paul Grant and John Sexton and Emil who devote many hours to the task.

Our annual presentation dinner was supported by 165 guests attending with a great and popular Guest Speaker of Tony Dodemaide from Cricket Australia one of their senior selectors for Test Cricket. Congratulations to all Trophy winners on your successful performances.

Australia Day two annual games were played at Royal Park with the Veterans and Saturday grades winning. We thank the players who gave up their public holiday to play.

Thankyou to the Clubs committees and Captains for your support in helping having our Cricket played in the true spirit of the game for which it deserves.

We look forward to the 2026/27 season.

Yours in Cricket,

Bill “CRASH “ CRADDOCK.
