It is my pleasure to present the annual report for what has been another successful season, considering the excessive rainfall throughout October, and the loss of two grounds in Fawkner park, namely grounds 2 and 4. New Clubs to join us this season were Footscray United. Heatherton, Maribyrnong Park St Marys and Oakleigh CC.
We again had 12 grades (6 Saturday and 6 Sunday) with 40 Clubs. 100 teams all playing one day cricket including semi finals and Grand finals. The premierships were shared between 12 different Clubs namely as follows:-

The annual presentation dinner was held at Windy Hill EFC (15th now at this venue) on 6th May,2023 with Guest Speaker being Chris ROGERS. All trophies were presented to winners of Batting, Bowling and Best and Fairest for all grades. Premiership shields were presented to winning clubs. Our Umpire trophies were presented by their President Paul Grant.
It was a pleasure to present LIFE MEMBERSHIP number 33rd of the MCA to ARI MORTON VICE PRESIDENT now for 12 years and prior to that a club delegate on the committee for some 5 years. Thankyou Ari for your loyal support and well done.
Chris Rogers our guest speaker was enjoyed by all with a question and answer session. 170 guests attended very well done everybody.
We thank the Sacred Heart CC for their support on Australia day at Fawkner park with the two annual games of cricket played on grounds Cordner and ground 5. Saturday grades played Sunday grades and Under 21 players played the over 40's Veterans team. Its an enjoyable day and many thanks to the Umpires, players for making themselves available.
A huge thank you our Umpires association for again supplying as many as possible, well trained and professionally presented in their uniforms. We thank the members of the Umpires committee namely Paul Grant, Emil and John Sexton and other committee members for your input to the meetings and season. A special thanks to John Sexton the umpire appointment officer and Paul Baleisa the umpires advisor who dedicate many private hours to their portfolios which is really appreciated.
Again our loyal executive committee has contributed in a professional manner for a successful season.
This coming season will see PLAY HQ replace MyCricket and we expect ALL clubs to well organised and educated in the new procedures that will come with its introduction.
Our annual general meeting shall be held on 8th August,2023 at St Kilda Bowling Club starting 7.15pm.
We thank all Clubs, Captains and Committees for your support to encourage that our cricket is played in the true spirit of the game, with the MCA VIBE shown.
